Just saw that the carrierservice has some new fields order_totals and customer
Are these here to stay or just a test?
Also, testing this, the customers parameter seems to be set correctly for draft orders only, but when checking out, it stays null even if i login before checking out, is this a bug?
Hi @Min_Liu! Good catch noticing these fields! You’re seeing order_totals and customer data in the carrier service callback payload that aren’t currently documented.
I can confirm these are legitimate fields being tested, but they’re not fully available yet across all stores. Once they’re ready for general availability, the documentation will be updated to reflect them.
If you’re interested in building functionality around these fields, I’d recommend waiting until they’re officially documented and announced as the team are still working out some kinks!

I’ve noticed long and lat in the payload for quite some time too but not for all orders, is this now official or still in development too?
Hey @Min_Liu, thanks for waiting to hear back from me! Having a had a look into this internally I found that the order_totals and customer fields rolled out to 100% of shop in the last little while and are now available to use.
The latitude/longitude fields have actually been around since last year, however they’ll be null if the address isn’t geocoded which might explain why you’re not seeing it in all cases?
We’re currently working to get the docs updated to reflect these new fields, so keep an eye out!
