I have an issue with our app with one customer. After creating a product on Shopify and then calling productVariantsBulkCreate to add variants, the api returns HTTP code 200, but the metadata wasn’t saved from your side, while when we test the same product with the same data on another account is it passes correctly without any issue.
productVariantsBulkCreate mutation
Hey @sami_koja! Can you share a bit more detail to help narrow this down? Since it’s working on one store but not another, I’d like to see what’s happening on the request that’s not working as expected.
Could you provide:
-
The full GraphQL mutation and variables you’re using (you can redact any sensitive shop-specific data)
-
The complete response you’re getting back, including the userErrors array
-
The x-request-id from the response headers of the failing request
The x-request-id is especially helpful as it lets me look up the exact request in our logs to see what’s happening server-side. Will be happy to take a look!
@Donal-Shopify thank you for your response. I open an investigation with my customer and you at the same time, and I find that my client deleted the location. for this reason, it is return this error for this customer

Ah, glad to hear you were able to find out the cause Sami!
If you don’t do so already, it’s worth including the userError object in your GraphQL mutations. They can often be helpful in debugging issues where inputs are invalid, so having them logged is a great time saver!
