Profile: Unable to add payment method

As a customer, if I have no payment method or deleted all my payment methods, there’s no option to add a new one.

Why its an issue: Customers need checkout again to in order to add a payment method, which is not desired for subscription management.

Expected behaviour: Customers should be able to add payment method any time from the profile page.

Hi,

For customers that have active subscriptions, they should be able to add new payment methods in their customer account, as is described in our help docs.

Is this for Shopify subscriptions only, or any subscription app?

What I have seen:
1 ) Customers has active subscriptions, add button is available.
2) Customer delete all their payment methods, there’s no longer add button
3) Customer still have active subscriptions, can no longer add a payment method, needs checkout again.

Is that a valid case? ( Maybe our subscription app is missing something )

There’s any plans on making that available to all customers?

Not a currently issue, but thinking about someone that just created an account and may want to create subscriptions from our app directly, instead of checkout first.

Hi again - have asked internally how 3P apps can achieve this same behaviour. Will let you know what I find out.
