We are seeing a font file loaded on all Shopify sites - https://cdn.shopify.com/shop-assets/static_uploads/shoplift/GTStandard-MRegular.woff2… This disappears when we block https://rothys.com/cdn/shopifycloud/shop-js/modules/v2/client.init-shop-cart-sync_BLuSqYWl.en.esm.js
I believe this JS is added by Shopify to sync cart between Shop app and merchant site.. but why is this loading a font file?.. Also font file has /shoplift/ in name which is a/b testing app on Shopify.. so, not sure why this file is being loaded on all Shopify sites and since when this started..

Hi @Rockey_Nebhwani
I can confirm this font is unconnected with any third-party app, this is coming from Shopify. I’m digging into why this is being loaded, but in the meantime are you observing a negative performance impact from this?

@Liam-Shopify I have been following this “issue” for few months now, it happens on all of the stores I work/have been working on.
This was actually reported few times on community.shopify.com :
In terms of performance impact, lighthouse is constantly reporting network dependency tree errors, while its not affecting the lighthouse score directly, personally i would prefer that I am not forced into serving one more font file
That would also stop people from doing “hacks” as described in the already existing community issues i linked above.
Any chance you can push this from your end, since its been reported few times already? I don’t think anyone cares on .com community honestly.
Thanks!
