REST Transaction->message in GraphQL OrderTransaction?

The REST Transaction object (Transaction - REST) has a message property. Which of the GraphQL OrderTransaction (OrderTransaction - GraphQL Admin) properties does it correspond to?

I’m not finding a direct equivalent to the REST Transaction message field in the GraphQL OrderTransaction schema. From what I found in the documentation (looking at current mutations that would write to the transaction), this field appears to be primarily legacy.

What kind of responses do you typically see in the message field, and how are you using that data in your integration? The reason I ask is knowing more about the specific information you need from it will help me point you to the best GraphQL alternative.

hi @KyleG-Shopify , I’m afraid I’m still looking for an alternative - or at least a confirmation that none exists.

Can you share a little bit of the context on how you’re using this field and the types of messages usually returned? The reason I ask is to be able to map it to the mutations the payment apps are using to provide the message.
