Is there any reason, why the s-tooltip feature does not function when connected to an s-chip element? It works with s-clickable-chip, albeit with a small caveat of only displaying when hovering directly on the text of the s-clickable-chip. But s-tooltip does not work at all with s-chip. I would say it’s not intentional. But these web components are very inconsistent - I’ve found at least 20 inconsistent behaviours from docs / props etc, so this doesn’t surprise me at all. Had they been open source, it would’ve been very easy to verify the actual intention. But hey - they have a whole team dedicated to building these web components.
The lack of insight, not being open source, and the issues with a versionless distro via CDN has really taken the fun out of building apps for Shopify.
Even this forum is very hard to navigate, and to top it off. Multiple threads doesn’t get answers, by the people (staff @ Shopify) that have the answers.
Hey folks - apologies for the late response here. From digging into this, it does appear this is a gap we have in supporting for s-tooltip on the s-chip element. I’m digging into seeing if there’s plan to support this.
