Shop Pay And Web Pixel Events

Following comments in this thread I’m wondering if Web Pixel events are available in Shop Pay checkouts yet? We have Shop Pay enabled on a store and use the Web Pixel API to subscribe to events such as shipping and payment info being added as users make their way through the checkout process, which we then send out to an analytics platform.

We’ve noticed that these events do not fire if the user arrives at the checkout in the Shop Pay view, which is happening for a large number of customers and we’d like to track their progress through the checkout too, is this functionality available yet?

Hey @F73_William :waving_hand: - you’re correct that at the moment, it’s expected behaviour that the events don’t fire in the Shop Pay view, but I was able to speak with the team responsible for our Web Pixels product and they did let me know that it’s on our radar to enable tracking/Pixel events firing in the Shop Pay view in the medium-term.

I can’t guarantee an exact rollout timeline, but it is definitely something we want to enable for folks, since it definitely makes sense to allow for tracking through all checkout egress points.
