Is no longer working on IOS with the latest Shopify update (from 15 October)

This is a large regression as barcodes cannot be scanned for apps that use this functionality.

Hi @Dylan_Henderson, thanks for the detailed report and the GitHub issue.

I checked with the team and this is a confirmed issue on our side, not anything in your app. The 11.x release of the Shopify mobile app (15 Oct) broke the handoff that opens the camera when an embedded app calls shopify.scanner.capture() which matches your version split. Android 11.x is affected too.

A fix is in progress and is expected to ship in an upcoming Shopify app release. I don’t have a date to share yet however.

I’ll follow up here once there’s more info to share on the fix. Thanks for your patience while we work on this!
