Could you share the affected shop’s .myshopify.com domain and confirm whether the beep also happens in an incognito/private window? It would also be helpful to know which browser you’re using. Is it only happening in the theme editor or also on the live site?
Once I have that, I’ll see if I can reproduce it on our end and loop back here.
Hey @JSMcAvady, thanks for all the extra details and the video, really appreciate it. I tested this on the live site with the chat both open and closed across several reloads, but I wasn’t able to reproduce the beep on my end.
Could you reproduce it once more and share the exact timestamp, including your timezone? I can use that to check our logs and see if anything stands out around that event.
I opened up process monitor and tried to filter out all the noises I could and it seems to be defiantly browser related. though I could not find a trace in the the procmon.exe for the initialisation of a sound.
Really getting to me, as you can understand, I will persist and get you I hope a time stamp of when.
if I could “reverse match” the sound like a google image that would be a great start, though I tried and it is to generic a sound .
