ShopifyQL now available as `shopifyqlQuery` within the GraphQL Admin API

Developers can now leverage ShopifyQL to extract valuable insights from all merchant analytics including sales, customer, and product data via the GraphQL Admin API. This enhancement allows for more sophisticated data analysis and reporting.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://shopify.dev/changelog/shopifyqlquery-now-available-in-graphql-admin-api

Wasn’t this deprecated last year?

Changelog: ShopifyQL Admin GraphQL API sunset - Shopify developer changelog

Or is this something completely new/redesigned?

Would it be safe to assume this one will be supported for a while?

Hey @Jonathan-HA, This is a new field on the graphql API, but it does bring back API access to the new analytics experience.

It’s safe to assume this will be supported for a while. If that changes, it will follow the standard deprecation process allowing time to make any necessary changes.

Thanks for confirming that Kyle!

The link in the changelog mentioning the deprecated endpoint points to the same shopifyqlQuery URL of the new one in 2025-10, so I was confused as it looked like that was the same thing.

Been playing with it and could be a nice feature to build on top of for one of our apps, so good to know this won’t just disappear within a few months (big plus also that’s it’s available for all Shopify plans now).
