I subscribed to webhooks related to product publication. When I modify the publishing configuration for a product—such as including or excluding the Online Store—it doesn’t trigger a publication event. What’s going on here?

In order for us to help look into this further and see why you may not be receiving webhooks for product publication events, we do need to be authenticated with the store where this is occurring.
If you can please reach out to our Shopify Support Team via the Shopify Help Center, we can absolutely help look into this further, as long as you are logged into the Help Center with either a Staff Account on the store in question, or logged into your Partner Account that owns the app that subscribed the webhook on the shop.
When you reach out, please have the following details prepared for efficient troubleshooting.
- The store’s .myshopify.com URL where this occurred
- The webhook subscription id, or webhook callback url
- The webhook topic
- A specific example where the webhook was not received
- ie: a link to an effected product, and an exact timeframe when it was published
