This was brought up prior, but closed.
The ‘Browse Themes’ dropdown at the top of https://themes.shopify.com/ still does not include the correct themes, and there is no way to sort or filter for multiple links:
There has to be a simple fix seeing as these options are available elsewhere: Ecommerce Website Templates - Free and Premium Themes for Your Online Store.
@Paige-Shopify @Liam-Shopify @anybody, can this be looked into? Many themes are still missing from these links and there does not seem to be any reason as to what is included. Brand new themes are listed, but themes with much longer history are excluded. Some themes are listed in both Large & Small catalogs. How can we ensure themes are listed properly?
Hey @Ian_Townsend, sorry I missed this.
The ‘Browse Themes’ dropdown at the top has been updated to include filtered links for Large and Small catalogs. Does it seem to include the appropriate themes now?
Regarding ensuring themes are listed properly, I’ll look into this further and follow up here.
Looks like they have opted to use Ecommerce Website Templates - Free and Premium Themes for Your Online Store. as the root URL, opposed to a separate collection like Large catalogs - Free and Premium Themes for Your Online Store. This is a step ibn the right direction, but Large catalogs - Free and Premium Themes for Your Online Store still exists, as opposed to being redirected to the filtered root URL. The concern still exists that this URL is marketed elsewhere, and leads merchants to bias lists.
Additionally, many theme devs spent a lot of time and resources ensuring their themes are translated properly, so the option for ‘Selling internationally’ is important. Yet that has been removed from the dropdown and the URL goes to a dead link: https://themes.shopify.com/collections/selling-internationally
- Large catalogs
- Small catalogs
- Selling in person
- Selling internationally
- Minimalist style
This is an example of how the smallest details that can be fixed overnight are completely ignored for years. Its another instance of how Shopify does not care about themes and their ‘Partners’
