502 Gateway error with Direct Admin API Access

Yesterday we updated the Shopify CLI and did an app release (said we had to release to the new next-gen platform by updating the CLI). Now we’re seeing 502 gateway errors when trying to make GraphQL queries using direct admin api access (shopify:admin/api/2025-07/graphql.json). We’re making these calls in an AppBridge app inside the Shopify admin.

It’s worth noting, the issue seems to only affect our development store.

Wondering if this is caused by the recent update? Nothing changed as part of our app config during that update.

Experiencing same issue, started happening after the cli update.

Seeing this same issue, also only after the CLI update.

More details to help Shopify troubleshoot: App works fine when installing on other stores for the first time, but doesn’t work when re-installing onto a store that was broken. Creating a new app (same codebase) and installing on the broken store works fine, no issues.

The same problem is occurring for me, beginning after the CLI update also.

Hi folks - there have been some updates shipped in the past few days, and migration processes have completed. Are you still seeing 502 errors appearing?
