I created a metafield with the namespace of my app then tried to reinstall the app. This made my previously created order metafield unstructured. This metafield is now unresponsive to adding a definition to it and also makes creating the same metafield error out. Creating a new metafield with not the same name is not viable due to the setup. How can I get back this metafield or at least delete the unstructured metafield that makes this not work?
I recommend you to note the orders which are using this metafield and then remove value present in that orders metafield(specific to your app) and then delete this metafield.
Hey Khasim, thanks for the idea, but I’ve already tried deleting all orders from that dev store to get rid of this issue. However, it did not solve my problem. This worked for other type of metafields (product, customer), but not in case of this order metafield.
