Hey everyone and the shopify dev team,
I’ve now been rejected twice during app review for the same error: the reviewer sees “The connection was reset” in their browser immediately upon attempting to install the app.
What I’ve checked:
- No install requests are hitting my server logs at all
- The
/uninstallwebhook does fire and returns a 200 - Server is cloud-hosted with no firewall or IP blocking
- SSL is clean (verified for app.consentico.com)
- I also tested the full install and app flow from my end and everything works without issues.
The first rejection I chalked up to an SSL misconfiguration on my deployment provider’s end — I fixed that and resubmitted. Same error on the second review.
I found this thread which seems to describe the exact same situation: App review install error: “The connection was reset” — logs show no incoming requests — the conclusion there was that it was a network issue on the reviewer’s side.
Has anyone else run into this recently? And if anyone from the Shopify team is reading — is there a way to get a HAR file or session logs from the review so I can rule out anything on my end before resubmitting a third time?
Thanks!
Asher
