We’re reaching out from Sobooster team regarding an issue with the read_publications scope necessary for our app, AI Search & Product Filter |SB to function properly with the updated GraphQL Product API.
We’ve already implemented this scope for new client installations and deployed the associated changes. However, we’ve encountered a challenge where this scope is not applied to our existing clients.
We submitted a backfill request through the Shopify Publishing Permissions Request form on December 19, 2024. On December 21, 2024, we received a notification from Shopify Product API Migration (product-api-migration@shopify.com) confirming that the backfill process was completed.
However, upon further review, we found that the read_publications scope is still missing for some existing client stores. Despite reaching out to Shopify Support for assistance, we have not yet received any updates regarding the status of the backfill process for our app.
To ensure a seamless transition for our clients and to maintain app functionality, we kindly request your help to check why the read_publications scope has not been applied to all existing stores using our app and provide us a resolution to ensure the scope is correctly applied across all impacted stores.
