Can an Offsite Payment App apply for BFS program?

Hi,

We are a payment provider and we have developed an offsite payment app which is already live.

I have read the documentation regarding BFS. Most of the BFS app examples are mostly frontend heavy apps, while our offsite payment app has only 2 menus to configure the connection to the payment provider.
Would we be able to apply for the BFS program?

Can I ask a question?
I made an offsite gateway app that is expected to be used as a payment gateway for shopify.
But now I am stuck with the payment app extension project creation.

In the shopify documentation, they say that I can choose the offsite payment app option for extension type while scaffolding an extensioin, but I can’t find this option.
Is this option only for approved shopify partner accounts?

Hi @Stanislava_Todorova, if your app only consists of the 2 menus, that wouldn’t be an issue, however, if most of the app’s functionality is outside the embedded app then it would likely fail for BFS.

If you provide me the name of the app you’re referring to, we can install it and take a look to verify.

Hi @Jin_Kang, only partners who have been approved to offer payments on Shopify can get access to payment extension types.
