Create offsite AmwalPay Payment Extension

I want to create a payment extension for my company. We have PCI DSS, VAT, and PSP certificates, and our payment gateway is fully secured. I’m attempting to develop the extension through an app using the steps below; however, the payment app extensions are not appearing.

  1. Run the following command to start generating your payment extension:
  • pnpm shopify app generate extension
  1. When prompted, choose your organization & create this as a new app
  2. When prompted for “Type of extension”, select “Payments App Extension > Offsite” and name your extension

When I prompt an offsite payment extension, it does not appear. Can you help me understand why I am unable to create a payment extension? I also have a partner account.

Hi Babar,

The option to build custom payment extensions is limited to eligible Shopify Plus Merchants only. You’ll need to contact Shopify Plus Support to confirm eligibility, before you’re able to use this API. More info on the payments API and it’s limitations are here: Extensions for payments
