Dashboard continues to show app has an error even though we have fixed it

We continue to see this on the dashboard even though we have fixed the problem.

I think this is causing an issue with merchants not being to install the app. We are able to successfully install and test in the dev stores. We have rolled out the change to prod a couple of months back but continue to see this in the dashboard. How do we fix this on prod?

That warning is showing because Shopify has detected a deprecated call was made within the last 30 days.

Just confirming what @Kyle_W said here, he’s correct! The error warning messages will show up for 30 days even if the issue has been fixed. If the issue remains resolved after that time though, they’ll disappear.

@Alan_G - we’ve unfortunately run into this as well, which is showing up as in merchant dashboards as: ā€˜Unsupported app’, with a suggestion to find alternative apps…

This was caused by a local developer debugging a merchant issue with the wrong API version (clearly).

Is the suggestion that these messages should go away after 3 days accurate? It’s kind of an important time of year :joy:

Hey @bkspace :waving_hand: - for the ā€œunsupported appā€ messages in merchant admins, the warning banner should disappear automatically after 7 days of no new deprecated calls. If you’re still seeing it pop up after that time (or if you definitely need it gone more quickly), just ping me here and I can take a look!

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying! Yea, ideally it would be gone today as we’ve had a number of big brands reach out - the app is on 2025-10, the erroneous single request was done by a developer from his local machine.
