We recently migrated our payment platform to Shopify Billing, but some users are encountering the following issue when attempting to make a payment:
[{"field":null,"message":"Validation failed: It appears that this application is currently owned by a Shop. It must be migrated to the Shopify Partners area before it can create charges with the API."}]
We are already using the Shopify Partner Dashboard and have registered our app under a partner account, yet this issue persists, resulting in significant financial losses for our company.
What steps should we take to resolve this? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

So just to confirm, this app was previously a custom/private app that was created within the admin of a store and you’ve migrated it to be a custom app within a partner dashboard - is that correct? Have the API credentials been updated on this app?

This issue occurs for users who install our app from the Shopify App Store, not for custom app installations. It happens randomly. We have advised affected customers to uninstall and reinstall the app, but the problem persists.
