I don’t know if this is the right forum for such requests, but I’ve already submitted this to Shopify Support a few times, ever since the Packing Slip feature was introduced, and don’t know where it stands.
It would be nice to have the option to display the note_attributes field in a packing slip. Currently, very few order fields are supported there.
Time and time again we hear from merchants wanting to display it, as well as I see several posts in the community forums confused about this missing piece.
I understand it’s not feasible to join multiple tables of data for the packing slip to fit everyone’s needs, but I’m assuming note_attributes is a native column of the Orders table, and in that case might not be so cumbersome or slow to include it.
Right now, we’ve been directing merchants to install the Order Printer app just to access this field, interrupting the flow they’re used to and creating unnecessary friction. Also, more confused posts about this topic will keep sprouting in the forums.
