After receiving feedback from a merchant, we tested the Duplicate order button and found that order metafields are not copied to the new duplicated order.
Request: Please add support for duplicating metafields along with the order.
Metafields often contain important custom data (shipping instructions, special notes etc.), so having them automatically carry over would be very valuable.

Maybe you make this an option but it should not be done automatically like it is for products (and variants) That causes problems: Cloning a Product Should Not Clone Metafields
Hey @Patrick_Jakubik that could work as an option when duplicating (as @sshaw mentions it may not be ideal in all cases). I’ll pass that suggestion on for you.
In the meantime, this could be handled by spinning up a quick sidekick app
