Feature request: manually assign collections to saved views in Collections admin

Hi, this is a “feature request”.

  • Problem:

    Saved views for collections are currently based only on filters and sorting.

  • Request:

    Collections should also be assignable manually to a saved view using multi-selection.

  • Benefit:

    Faster navigation and better internal organization of large collection catalogs in the admin

This implementation would be very helpful and save a lot of time. Possible?

A couple questions that would help me pass this along with the right context:

  1. Are you mainly looking to group collections by internal workflow or merchandising ownership, rather than by data that already exists as a filter?
  2. Roughly how many collections are you managing, and how many would usually belong in one of these manually assigned views?
  3. Would a collection need to belong to multiple saved views, or would each collection generally live in one internal grouping?
