Anyone know what could be happening? every few days all the files from sections/snippets/assets just gets deleted out of blue, dont see anything in the logs removed any unnecessary apps only me and client have access
Shopify support hasn’t been helpful.
Can you tell us a bit more about your folder structure? Are you using any sort of build tool or plugins that would dynamically add/remove/build and minify assets? Is your theme/branch hooked up to a store via the github integration? Does a merchant or other team member have access to your theme code or can edit it directly in the admin?
Hi cory, no special structure or build tools, not connected github, Only client and me have access now, client removed everyone when we noticed this was happening. Every other day I have to publish the theme again as everything gets deleted (baring the templates/layout/config) the files from rest of folders gets removed and even our draft theme most of them get deleted, already checked logs and dont see any unusual activity.
Cleaned up apps as well which were not being used, no custom apps on the store from what I can see.
What do the individual theme logs tell you? Anything weird there?
Also, I know you said you’re not using Github integration, but are you doing any sort of deployment process with CLI, Buddy, etc? I’ve seen where if theres an error in one of the template files or anything like that, it’ll block other files from being re-uploaded to themes.
If you’re using CLI, I’d also double check that you don’t have a server running somewhere you’ve forgotten about (work/second computer). Oddly enough, I’ve seen that happen too.
Shopify support was able to helpout, there was a rouge dev app (which I didnt had access) and client didnt know - which was doing this, store is stable now
