Same CLI is prompting us to add [ events ] block in app.toml even though we don’t require it and according to docs it’s not mandatory. It’s stopping us from creating dev servers and even creating new version of app extensions without the block.

Same issue happening for us. It’s frustrating why unstable Developer preview key has been made mandatory for all apps. We clearly did not create any event subscriptions.
