GraphQL Query or Mutation // Purchase Order

Hey There,

Is there any updated to purchaseOrder query and mutation?

Hope you’re well @ChrisBradley! I had a look into this internally and unfortunately there are no updates to share on this right now.

If you need to track inventory movement from suppliers, the Inventory Transfers API is the closest workaround. It handles the inventory side of things but it won’t give you costs, supplier info, payment terms etc. traditionally associated with Purchase Orders.

I’ve gone ahead and added this as feedback on our existing feature request internally. The more a specific feature is requested by our merchants and partners, the more likely it is to be considered for future development by our product teams so hopefully this one isn’t far off!

With deprecation of Stocky it is essential to finally release the Purchase Orders API.

We run a forecasting app and literally every other merchant would greatly benefit from us having access to PO’s. The Purchase Orders section is so useless as it stands and every inventory management app has had to basically recreate duplicates of this system.

We need updates on this ASAP to make good alternatives to Stocky and the huge amount of merchants scrambling to find a replacement.

Appreciate the additional feedback Mike, I’ve passed this on to the inventory team internally to add further weight to the existing feature request.

@Donal-Shopify well thanks, how about you?

Thanks for the update, unfortunately inventoryTransfers doesn’t really work for the reasons above.

I think from my perspective (and the wider community), it is starting to not make sense why purchaseOrder Query/Mutations have not been released given how long it has been released in the UX.

Good form, cheers! I 100% understand where’re you’re coming from.

I don’t have any new updates to share on a Purchase Order API right now, but I want you to know that this continues to be raised internally. The feedback from you, Mike, and the wider community across multiple threads on this topic all feeds into prioritization decisions for the inventory team.
