Hi, we’re currently developing an integration with the ERP but we can’t find purchase orders in the api documentation, is it available? We are gonna need all the CRUD methods
Hi @Ashour,
At this time there are no API endpoints to work with Purchase Orders directly, however there are a few different options you have for a workaround, as discussed in this previous thread:
You can look into using the new Inventory Transfers API, to see if this works for your use case.
- New GraphQL APIs for Inventory Transfers Management - Shopify developer changelog
- inventoryTransferCreate - GraphQL Admin
Alternatively, you can create an integration app that works with adjusting inventory manually.
I understand this may not be ideal for you use case, and I will be submitting some feedback to our developers internally on your behalf, additionally you can submit feedback yourself via any page in the Shopify.dev documenation by scrolling to the bottom and selecting Was this page helpful?: No and entering your customized feedback.
Hi,
We also need a Purchase orders API. These workarounds are not usable when it comes to Purchase orders.
Find it very strange that Shopify only offers the Inventory transfers API, and not the Purchase orders API that much more merchants are using.
We need this in order to show a different view of Purchase order details with some properties from our app, like bin location.
I agree, we need a stable solution in order to develop apps over it.
I do understand that these workarounds may not meet your use cases entirely, and I can confirm that we have submitted feedback internally to our development team, who do take all our partner and merchant feedback with great value when determining future features and changes to the platform.
While I can’t guarantee when or if this will be added, I can assure you that your feedback in regards to this is heard and documented internally.
