Help needed: Translating custom Liquid texts for UK visitors

Hello Shopify community,

I’m experiencing an issue with translating custom Liquid code into English for visitors from the United Kingdom.

Situation:

  • I’m using the app Translate & Adapt to automatically translate my webshop.

  • My product pages, badges, and promotional texts contain custom Liquid code with hardcoded texts, such as “KOOP 2” and “ONTVANG 50% EXTRA KORTING”.

  • Translate & Adapt works perfectly for standard content like product descriptions and page content, but it does not translate texts hardcoded in Liquid.

Goal:

  • I want UK visitors to automatically see the English texts while Dutch visitors see the original Dutch texts.

I just verified on my end and the translate filter works correctly inside liquid section settings.

Do not hardcode and instead leverage the filter and locale files :wink:

Dat is omdat ik de app ‘Weglot’ momenteel gebruik. Die app zorgt ervoor dat alles goed wordt vertaald. Mijn gratis proefperiode eindigt daarentegen bijna, waardoor ik weer afhankelijk wordt van de geïntegreerde vertaal app van Shopify. Hoe kan ik ervoor zorgen dat alles (ook de liquid codes) goed worden vertaald met de Translate & Adapt app?
