New update on Horizon theme GitHub repository They have now archived the repo on github… This repository was archived by the owner on May 15, 2026. It is now read-only.

So what happens now? Shopify is using increasingly less transparent policies toward developers.

Oopsies! Shopify unarchived it. But it’s still on v3.4.0 :cry:

We can still add the latest version of the Horizon theme from themes.shopify.com to our store and then download the full Horizon theme as a .zip file. In there will be the complete theme folder structure that you can work on.
