How can another AI storefront builder become an official Shopify partner?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for guidance on the official path for AI storefront builders working with Shopify.

Shopify’s “AI builders” page currently features tools like v0, Lovable, Replit, and Manus. For another team building AI-native storefront or commerce tools on Shopify, how can they be considered as an official Shopify partner in this category?

We have already built and submitted our Shopify app for review. The product supports AI-native headless storefront generation from natural language prompts, product listing creation, product description and SEO generation, product imagery, multilingual store content, and ongoing store operations through chat.

I mainly want to understand:

  1. How can another AI storefront builder be considered as an official Shopify partner in this category?
  2. What is the best way to connect with the relevant Shopify team?

This is not about bypassing App Store review. I’m only trying to understand the correct public route for AI-builder ecosystem discussions.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Just confirming, we can’t manually nominate tools for a specific Shopify marketing surface via the community here.

I’d say, the best public route is to keep the App Store review moving, make sure your Partner account/app are in good standing, and review the published partner/app recognition paths: Built for Shopify for app quality and merchant-facing recognition, and Certified Technology Partner requirements if your solution is aimed at advanced/Plus merchant needs.

For account-specific Partner Program routing, the best next step is to contact Shopify Support while logged into your Partner account so they can route the question with your organization context.

That won’t bypass app review or guarantee placement, but it’s the clearest public path for ecosystem/partner consideration.

One follow-up question: is there any public channel or intake process for reaching Shopify’s business development / strategic partnerships team for AI commerce or storefront-builder related discussions?

We understand the community can’t nominate tools for a marketing surface, and we’re not looking to bypass App Store review. We’re just trying to understand whether there is a proper route for business or ecosystem partnership conversations beyond the standard App Store review path.

Would Partner Support be the right place to ask for that routing, or is there another public channel you’d recommend?

I’m not aware of a separate public intake form or Community-based process for business development / strategic partnership discussions around AI commerce or storefront-builder tools at the moment.

I’d agree that the best next step is to get in touch with Partner Support while logged in to your Partner account, and include details about your organization, product, current Shopify integration, and the kind of partnership you’re asking about. That usually gives the support team the right account and partner context, and they can route internally if there’s an applicable path.
