How do I delete a testing store I accidentally created in my dev dashboard?

Hi everyone,

I was exploring the dev dashboard and accidentally created a new Development Store for testing that I don’t need. I’m now trying to remove it to keep my dashboard clean.

I can’t find a “Delete” button anywhere. What is the correct way to remove an accidentally created test store?

Thanks for your help!

Hi @Rekbin_Devs

It’s currently not possible to delete dev stores via the dev dashboard. Our team are aware of this feature request however and I’ll update here when there’s more to share.

Just to be clear for you, it’s dev dashboard not partner dashboard.

My mistake - I meant dev dashboard

I‘m having the same trouble.

This is a known feature gap that we will be fixing ASAP. We acknowledge that this is a big annoyance for folks - we’re on it.

What am I supposed to do if i accidentally created a dev store from the dev dashboard with the domain i need in the partner dashboard? I can’t create a store with the proper domain from the partner dashboard now. I tried the “one time” url change from the dev dashboard, but that doesn’t deallocate the domain, it justs makes it a redirect domain.

Hi @Liam-Shopify, is their any update for delete dev store from dev dashboard. It’s badly needed

Hi @adarsh_anncode

No news on this being possible on the dev dash itself, but if you need a dev store to be deleted, you can contact support who can remove this manually for you.

Update on this - it is possible to delete dev stores from a store admin by navigating to Settings > Plan** and selecting the delete store option. However this is not currently available for Plus stores.

What if the owner of the “dev” store has been removed from the partner account, can the partner account owner delete the dev store. I don’t see the “Delete Store” option under Settings→Plan unless I am logged in as the account that created the dev store.
