How to Add Multiple Tabs in Customer Registration Form

Hello,

We want to customize the default Shopify customer registration form by adding two new tabs:

  • Tab 1: General customer information
  • Tab 2: Business details

Our requirement is:

  • When a customer registers or creates an account, only Tab 1 should be visible.
  • After the customer completes and submits Tab 1, then Tab 2 should become visible.

Questions:

  1. Where should we save the data collected from these additional form fields in Shopify?
  2. Can we use customer metafields to store this data, or is there another recommended approach?

Any guidance or best practices on implementing this would be greatly appreciated.

This isn’t possible natively with Shopify, I’d suggest looking at an app like Customer Fields.
