Assign an image to a collection
Set the focal point in Content > Files
Use in Liquid
<setting_id>.presentation.focal_point is always null

I’m also having this problem, it would be really useful if the focal point could be made available in liquid for collection and product pages instead of just those images added in theme settings.

It’s really common for us to have a mix of portrait and landscape images that we want to show in a grid of squares. And the focal points are rarely in a consistent place across collection images.
