Integrating Local Banks with Shopify to Receive Payouts: Who to Contact, Protocol to Follow

Hi Shopify Dev Team,

I currently do content online and have created a shopify store in the past to drive traffic there, but unfortunately left it to shrivel into dust due to payout blockages (likely because of regional restrictions). I don’t intend to go through a third-party gateway and many in my area aren’t too familiar or keen on trying them as well given the rise of scamming platforms online.

However, what we are familiar with and have more trust in, are our local banks (the Bank of South Pacific, aka BSP being the most prominent). Because of this, I’d like to know the process required to integrate shopify directly with our local banks, so entrepreneurs and businesses running online stores can receive their payouts without delay.

I’ve been in contact with SNS Tech, a tech company leading our country’s efforts in e-commerce (I’m based in Papua New Guinea by the way, specifically in the nation’s capital city). If I can obtain the necessary approvals on-land, then is it viable for shopify developers to work with the local tech companies to integrate our local banks with shopify?

With this, shopify is likely to notice a slight bulge in its overall growth metric due to multiple new users willing to invest time, energy and money on the platform.

Let me know if there’s anything I need to do to facilitate this initiative (such as drafting a proposal, etc). You can reach me via the email connected to this account.

Best Regards,

Tim

(Also, you can forward this to persons responsible for expanding shopify partnerships if possible. Thanks in advace.)
