Inventory Behaviour Flag On REST Create Order API Intermittently Not Working

In the past week we’ve started to get emails from merchants who are creating orders with our app, EZ Importer, using the inventory_behaviour flag but the API isn’t reducing inventory. We’ve never had issues with this before (the app has been in production for many years), and I’ve run a bunch of tests on our test stores and we aren’t seeing any issues.

I wanted to see if someone might be able to help us troubleshoot what is going on. I’ve check the product settings on the merchants store and everything looks correct, and we’ve correctly sent the flag with the REST Create Order API. It seems to be happening intermittently so we haven’t been able to reproduce the issue on our test store and it seems to be affecting a small number of stores.

Is there any way for you to get an error requestId code that we can look up on our side? Are there any commonalities for the small number of stores that are experiencing this, eg: they are also using another app that impacts on inventory management?

Thanks for responding. There aren’t any commonalities that I can see for these stores. The only thing that is common is that it was working without issue and then it stopped working.

I ended up reaching out to developer support as we were getting more emails from merchants about the issue. I gave them a request id and details from the merchant who gave us the most information. Let me know if you need anything else from me.
