Hi @Liam-Shopify, I tested the install on one of my test stores, it failed the first time but worked on the second attempt, but when i tried to install on couple of other stores, worked fine, no issues.
It seems only some stores were affected, since I can see some successful installs since Saturdat. we got an email on Saturday from a store saying they couldn’t install it. I’ve asked them to try again and waiting for their response.

Hey @Liam-Shopify, we are experiencing this issue on one of our customer’s stores. The installation popup does not appear.

Hi folks - our team identified what was causing this issue and have resolved this. All stores should be able to install apps as expected again now. If anyone is still seeing this, please post below.
@Liam-Shopify I think there may still be an issue with the app install flow.
I’m noticing a huge drop in the past couple of weeks in the percentage of people that click the Install button (e.g. - “Add App button” event) and then complete the install (e.g. - “shopify_app_install” event). This is for my app Flair, and I am not using managed installs.

Recently (roughly 1-2 weeks):
I was able to find one possible scenario related to not being logged in to Shopify, but there may be others. Here are some steps to reproduce:

UPDATE 2025-04-21:
I verified this error also happens on my other app. After the login, this is the url you end up on when the “problem with your request” error is shown:
/settings/apps?oauth_error=problem_with_request&before=&after=&tab=installed
Looking in the logs, no requests are made to my apps when this happens (i.e. - this installation request is never made).
If you then go back to the app page and click “Install” the next attempt succeeds.
