for the past few days, we are experiencing some problems when installing managed installation apps from the “Uninstalled” section of the Shopify Admin. It affects randomly to different apps, so it is apparently a problem on Shopify side. The problem is that, when installing an uninstalled app and after accepting the permissions, the merchant is not redirected to the app to start the installation process.
Happy to take a closer look at what’s happening here. To help with the investigation on our end, could you share a few things?
Which apps are you seeing this with? If there are specific ones that fail more consistently, that would be helpful to know or is it just that Drop Hint app?
The shop URL(s) where you’re seeing this (if it’s easier or you’d prefer not to share those- I can DM you and we can look into this that way).
Approximate timestamps of when this happens (and when it works), including timezone.
It would also be super helpful if you could record a HAR file the next time the redirect fails after accepting permissions. This would help us trace the network requests from your browser so we can see exactly where things are breaking. Here’s a quick guide on how to generate

Just make sure to scrub any sensitive info (cookies, tokens) before sharing.
I also reported this problem in the support chat and it seems they released a fix based on a page refresh after uninstalling an app. Not the most elegant, but a fix after all
So right now I can’t reproduce the issue. If it comes back, I will send you the HAR file.
