Legacy Accounts vs New Accounts - lets vote

UPVOTE IF YOU WANT LEGACY BACK!

Who here thinks having to get a TEXT message to login into your account is a step backwards to just having it on your keychain or using faceID or any other decent auth tool to access your Shopify store account?

Frankly I don’t understand why “legacy” accounts are being deprecated when the new accounts have almost no sophisticated adjustment capability - am I missing something? When will apps have the ability to influence the customer portal experience in ways merchants actually want - like we all could on the perfectly reasonable “legacy” account.

To be honest, it’s no different to when we switched to the new checkout.

I don’t think you’ll have any luck here getting the decision changed.

Probably not…but poor UX is poor UX regardless of the entity size behind it. Shopify’s version of “customisable” has always been heavily caveated.
