I see this as a common-ish question, but am I to read it correctly that the only marketplaces that can sync orders to Shopify are those that are supported by the Marketplace Connect app Shopify wrote? i.e smaller marketplaces are out of luck?
I ask because I have built a sales channel app to connect to our marketplace which has brands on it from Shopify who want their orders to sync to their accounts and I am now realizing the time might have been wasted as everything about it violates a handful of rules for apps, specially around external payment processing.
I see you can apply for payment processing support, but even there those rules have been updated to “non-2D payments”.
Any help w/ advice on how to navigate this is appreciated.
