I built an MVP that syncs merchants inventory between Shopify and Square accounts, now in app review my app was rejected for the reason of “Shopify is not currently accepting apps that connect to a POS system outside of Shopify. This applies to all apps that connect to a POS system outside of Shopify. And upon review, the app is linked to Square, which is a third-party point-of-sale system.”
There were so many apps on Shopify that do this, like there is one literally called " AutoSync for Square", and also Trunk ‑ Stock Sync & Bundling - Keep inventory synced in real-time across everywhere you sell | Shopify App Store
What is changing? am I just gonna throw away my one month of work?
What are my option if I don’t want to just throw this away, should I just host & market the app myself and allow merchants to sync inventory on my own website, like a typical SaaS without integrating to merchants shopify admin panel?
