Mutation for creating event subscriptions

Hi,

does anyone know if there are specific plans to publish a mutation for creating event subscriptions? I mean the new events engine, not the webhooks.

This topic was briefly mentioned during a Shopify DotDev 2026 workshop, but I can’t find any information about it on GraphQL Admin API reference .

Currently, event subscriptions can only be declared in the app’s .toml file (Events).

Being able to subscribe to Events via GraphQL is on queue for later this year^
