1. Assume ZERO changes to Dwell v 3.4.0
2. Update Dwell shopify theme from 3.4.0 to 3.5.0 in Shopify store
3. Run shopify theme check
4. Count the errors (increased from 2 in prior version now to 183)

This report was generated by Claude Code when I asked it to analyse what’s going on, and the impact of my store where the default language is German. Upon reading this it doesn’t seem as bad as “183 errors” but it confounds me why the Horizon team does not appear to be using shopify theme check.

I am not technical - I don’t know if these are really a problem or not. At the core of everything, I’d love to be able to depend on shopify theme check. Which to me means - the Shopify themes, most especially the “new horizon generation of themes” ship with a clean theme check pass.

Hey Michelle! There are some theme checks that have been updated. Make sure you run it against the latest version of the Shopify CLI. There are a couple of updated checks that aren’t yet released that also cause a couple of failures for Horizon but that should be fixed in the tooling soon.
