It looks like the new dev stores created in the Dev Dashboard cannot support having multiple users or sending user invites, like every other dev store has in the past:
We just created and set up a Plus dev store and now cannot actually invite any admins to collaborate on testing things within the store.
Is this going to be supported soon? Otherwise it looks like the new dev stores are pretty useless in any kind of team environment. Curious to see if this is happening for other folks as Shopify support said they can’t enable on their end at the moment either.
Actually @KyleG-Shopify the instructions on that help page don’t work – the whole premise of having access to the users area for the org is blocked (per the screenshot I’d posted)
In our Partners dashboard we can’t create user roles, nor can we assign users within our partner org to the nextgen dev store. Even if we log into a previous non-nextgen dev store, we can’t create/assign roles, so it seems like these nextgen stores are completely orphaned from a user perspective.
Let me test this on my end. Can you clarify, is the issue that members of your partner organization can’t access the next gen dev stores, or that the option to add staff on the stores isn’t available?
I’ve been able to replicate this on my end as well. The issue is specific to plus stores and stems from how users are managed in plus organizations.
Checking with our team here and I can confirm this is a known limitation that they are working to resolve. This only affects plus store. Selecting non plus stores would still work as expected.
Got it - it’s definitely a big blocker as these Plus nextgen stores are invisible even to folks on our own team - appreciate your continued support on this
