Hi everyone,
We submitted our app, Customer Account Deluxe, for Built for Shopify review about 4 weeks ago. We haven’t received any communication since, and I’m looking for help understanding whether this is expected — or if something might be wrong.
Here’s what has happened so far:
- The submission went through about 4 weeks ago
- Almost immediately after submitting, the app status changed to “In Progress”
- Since submission, we’ve received zero communication:
- No confirmation or acknowledgment that the review began
- No email from the BFS team or assigned auditor
- No feedback or next steps
We’ve checked all relevant inboxes and spam folders to ensure nothing was missed — still nothing.
On June 5, I contacted Shopify Support:
- They confirmed that the review is in progress
- I was told that we should hear from the auditors if any issues arise or as the process moves forward
But as of now — nearly a month since submission — we still haven’t heard anything at all.
I understand there’s no fixed turnaround time for BFS reviews, but the complete silence has made it unclear whether we’re in a normal queue or if something’s gone off track.
If anyone from the Shopify team sees this, any confirmation or guidance would be really appreciated.
And if anyone in the community has gone through something similar, I’d love to hear what your experience was like.
