Payment Customisations not running in draft orders created from POS

A merchant reports that payment customizations are not working with draft orders created from the POS for the customer to pay in the online checkout, which we have confirmed. Also, he reports that it used to work in the past.

The key cause of the problem is this:

→ When we enter the draft order via the “Share” link copied from the Shopify admin, there’s no problem, and the payment customizations run properly. This link format is:

→ When we enter the draft order via the POS link, and the payment customizations do not run. This link format is:
https://<shop url>/29295648/daco/ee6e13bbe7ec4c7100bf122547846972

Has there been a recent change on Shopify’s end that could be causing this? Or could it be a bug?
