Hi. What determines the location that a payment gateway can get approved for? Is it the currencies that the payment gateway can accept?
Hi @Kia_Jadwat
If you’re asking about approval to be part of the payment partner program, this is currently only available to invited partners only, and not related to accepted currencies, see:
Thank you.
Why I’m asking is due to my US Based store not being able to offer most South African payment gateways to the South African market.
I don’t understand why these gateways are not made available on a market level instead of on a store level. Maybe entities should also be managed in a market level to allow for this.
However, there is one gateway called Paystack which is not based it the US but it is available for me in the South African market. This gateway is not based in South Africa either, but it does support South Africa and ZAR payments.
I’m trying to find a way of using other South African gateways like PayJustNow, Payflex, Payfast, Yoco, Ozow and Peach payments on my US based store for my South African market. What do these gateways need to do that Paystack had done to be made available to the South African market on a US based store?
Hi Again
Most (if not all) of these are available on my South African based store that is targeting the South African market.
However, they are not available on my US based store which is targeting the South African market.
Only Paystack is available to the south african market on the US based store - I want to know what they did differently to allow them to be available while other gateways are only available on SA based stress?
Hi @Liam-Shopify Just following up on this. Allowing entities to be managed at market level could solve this issue.
