Really excited by the new ability to filter reports by metafields. It has the potential to radically simplify how we do our analytics if we could have two metafields to handle our attribution and generating reports.
It looks we are going to need to deep link and ask merchants to manually turn on useInAnalytics. I can sympathise how this can get out of hand with app developers adding a tonne of metafields that complicates generating reports.
In absence of this very manual process we have to decide between not offering analytics unless this setting is turned on or maintaining two services for querying Shopify that are going to have inconsistencies.
Any chance we could have these permissions matched to a very strict set of permissions or allowance for fields we could set to use in analytics?
