Hi everyone,
We are seeing an ongoing issue where express checkout options such as Apple Pay and Google Pay do not provide the full customer address when requesting carrier-calculated shipping rates.
For apps such as Zapiet - Rates by Distance, which rely on the customer address to create rates, this prevents shipping rates from being calculated when using these checkout methods and causes lost sales for our merchants.
This also affects our last-mile delivery partners, such as Uber or Roadie, and other third-party rates apps that cannot generate rates without the full customer address.
We have previously reported this to Shopify, who confirmed it was an existing limitation.
Has anyone been able to find a workaround for this issue?
