Shopify NEEDS to add Multi-shop support for AI-Toolkit

Recently my company brought on a second shop for a new brand we acquired. Our Shopify team loved the Claude connector until we brought on the new store, as they have to disconnect from one shop and connect to the new shop.

I’m not sure who else has ran into this issue, but I have learned that it is a VERY tedious, repetitive, and rather unnecessary process, especially when this team wants to be able to have Claude run analysis for both stores in one swoop.

Has anyone else ran into this issue? If so, what solutions have you developed? I’d love to not come up with a new, custom solution — as I feel as though it seems simple in theory for Shopify to develop this solution — but it seems like it’s becoming necessary for this team.

Whether it be the ability to create a second instance of the MCP with a connection to a different shop, multi-selection for desired shops, or something else, this would be a truly lovely addition to an awesome tool.

Hey Nick,
I have developed a solution for this. It’s called Manager For Shopify and it’s a desktop app. You can check that out if you’d like. It’s at: https://manager.vikasmaur.com/
You can connect multiple stores, multiple AI providers (uses your subs), etc.
I would love to have your review/feedback on whether it’s of any help to your shopify team or not.
Thanks,
Vikas

Ran into the same thing. The Shopify connector holds one shop per connection, so switching stores means signing in again. What works is a separate mcp connection per store, so Claude can use both in one chat.

I have an mcp app in alpha before app store submission and would love your feedback. You choose the Shopify scopes for the whole store, staff and their connections are limited to their Shopify permissions, and each user can create several connections each with their own limits.

Hi @Nick_Newbauer, thanks for sharing this feedback with us. It’s great to hear how you and your team have been using the Claude connector.

I’ve passed your request along internally, and it’s been confirmed that multi-shop support will be considered. We can’t commit to a timeline yet, but we’ll update this thread once it’s available.
