Shopify Subscriptions with other payment gateways

Hi, I want to integrate third party payment gateways into Shopify Subscriptions.

Is it possible to integrate other payment gateways into Shopify Subscriptions?

I see on shopify help center there is only 5 supported payment gateways for Shopify Subscriptions

How we can become a gateway provider for subscription payments as long as we are already connected provider for regular payments?

This doesn’t appear to be possible - you may need to create your own subscriptions app that you can use your gateway in?
